So, I get pinched for doing 68 on a 60 limit, fair if somewhat overzealous, cop.
I am in the post office having *just* sent my previously clean license to the court for endorsement and payment of the £6o fine when the bank rings me.
Wait for it, my card has been cloned and the bank have blocked it to prevent further fraudulent use. Fucking great, except to compound my woes the payment method I selected for the fine was the card, that has just been cancelled.
Further woe compoundment, to whit: I can’t get access to my cash because I need my driving licence to prove my identity to the bank. Oh wait, I just sent that to the court along with a payment which is going to be declined.
So, I’m skint, pissed off, and facing the possibilty of being fined a further £1000 for non payment of a fixed penalty, why? because I am the victim of a *real* crime.
